What actually changes the price
1. Number of days and functions
A one-day wedding with a single ceremony is a different job from a five-day celebration with haldi, mehendi, sangeet, baraat, pheras and reception. Each function adds hours, travel and editing.
2. Team size
One photographer covers one place at a time. Large Indian weddings often need separate people for the bride’s side, the groom’s side, candid moments and video. More people means a higher price, and better coverage.
3. Experience
An experienced photographer charges more because they miss fewer moments, handle difficult light better, and manage family groups calmly. That experience is hard to see in a portfolio, so ask about full galleries and the number of weddings they have shot.
4. What you get at the end
A set of edited photos costs less than the same set plus albums, frames and a cinematic film. Albums are priced by pages and size, and many families want more than one.
5. Editing time
Good editing takes days. A studio that promises delivery in a week for 1000 photos is either cutting corners or has a large editing team. Ask which.
6. Season and date
Peak wedding dates in Indore get booked early. Studios may be less flexible on price for those dates, and you have less choice of teams.
7. Travel and stay
Outstation shoots add travel, food and stay for the team. For destination weddings these costs can be a big share of the total, so get them in writing.
Cheap quotes and expensive quotes
